We love our oceans, not just because we love sailing, but because we also understand the need to protect the ecosystems that live in it from the way we have chosen to run our lives. Plastic pollution in our seas has become a massive problem that is going to take a huge effort from everyone to reduce, so we will be doing what we can do to help.

But we are also concerned about the impact of our products could have on the whole environment in general and feel the responsibility to design products, and in particular packaging (coz that's the bit that gets thrown away almost immediately), that will minimise the impact on the whole planet, especially as there is no "planet B".

As a small business we feel we have the ability to be considerate about our products but also our packaging.

So we have two main aims:

  1. Our aim is to not use single-use plastic in our products and in our packaging when we send it out to you.

  2. Our aim is to make all our products and packaging recyclable or reusable.

Our postcards come with a matching envelope available either as individual cards or in packs of ten. To keep these together, instead of using cellos to package postcards and their envelopes - we are using a light cardboard strip to keep the postcards and envelopes together.

So when it comes to sending your cards you will find them packed in quite heavy duty cardboard envelopes that are durable enough to go through the post without needing to be wrapped in plastic on the inside to protect from moisture (fingers crossed).

If you would like more information on the materials we use, please contact us, we would love to hear from you.
